Dicalite’s operating footprint includes 16 facilities across North America and Europe. Operating through a fully integrated network of five mines and twelve refining, processing, and packaging facilities, the company has a unique multi-mineral platform that includes perlite, vermiculite, and diatomaceous earth. Dicalite’s core business is selling wholesale products to blue chip customers such as Home Depot, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Cargill, DuPont, Leslie’s Pool Supplies, numerous California wineries, 3M, and Nestle Purina, among others. In 2021, Dicalite launched a direct-to-consumer line of gardening products. These products are marketed under the Harvest Hero brand name (www.HarvestHero.com).

Broad Function:

The Database Analyst will be responsible for developing financial reporting dashboards and creating and maintaining integrated database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and advanced knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server. This candidate will be at the forefront of developing new financial reporting tools and dashboards in OneStream and manages our company's SQL databases, ensuring their stability, security, resiliency, and performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Manage and maintain the company's on-premises databases, including database design, implementation, backup, recovery, resiliency, and optimization.

· Develop and maintain database-related queries, scripts, and stored procedures to support financial reporting and data analysis.

· Collaborate with the organization to design, develop, implement, and optimize database solutions that meet business requirements.

· Proactively monitor database performance, resolve database issues, and identify areas for improvement.

· Develop and maintain database security and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and privacy.

· Develop automations and integrations to internal and external systems using SQL jobs, PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, and REST APIs

· Provide database support to the organization and resolve technical problems as needed.

· Participate in the development and testing of database backup and recovery procedures.

· Perform migrations and upgrades of SQL databases according to best practices.

· Document new and existing processes including queries, development workflows, and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, MIS, or related field.

· 3 years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on on-premises infrastructure

· Experience creating complex financial reporting dashboards from various sources

· Working knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 – 2022.

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Server Management Studio, including queries, views, stored procedures, and SSAS / ETL integrations

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Hands-on experience with OLAP, OneStream, Power BI, and dashboards development.

· Experience with REST API development and integration.

· Working knowledge of on-premises ERP systems.

· Familiarity with Crystal Reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
